YOUR HALO STORY SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES

1. SPONSOR: The Sponsor of the Your Halo Story Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is Halo, Purely for Pets, Inc., 12400 Race Track Road, Tampa, Florida 33626 (“Sponsor”).

2. ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on March 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 PM EST on February 28, 2009 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). The Sweepstakes Period consists of four (4) separate judging periods. Entries must be submitted according to the following schedule:

All entries to be considered for the first judging period must be received between 12:00:01 AM EST on March 1, 2008 and 11:59:59 PM EST on May 31, 2008 (“First Selection”).

All entries to be considered for the second judging period must be received between 12:00:01 AM EST on June 1, 2008 and 11:59:59 PM EST on August 31, 2008 (“Second Selection”).

All entries to be considered for the third judging period must be received between 12:00:01 AM EST on September 1, 2008 and 11:59:59 PM EST on November 30, 2008 (“Third Selection”).

All entries to be considered for the fourth judging period must be received between 12:00:01 AM EST on December 1, 2008 and 11:59:59 PM EST on February 28, 2009 (“Fourth Selection”).

3. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter Sweepstakes, write an original story and submit under the guidelines outlined in the General Conditions, below. Limit one entry during the Sweepstakes Period per household.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Each story submission must include a description of the HALO products you and your pet have used that have helped you and your pet lead happier, healthier lives. You may include a before and after photo of your pet with your story, but you are not required to submit any photos. You may submit up to two (2) photos of your pet. If more than two (2) photos are submitted, Sponsor will only consider the first two (2) photos.

To be entered in the Sweepstakes, pet owners must enter online by logging onto www.halopets.com and submitting their story and picture(s). All story entries in the Sweepstakes must be submitted in Word format. You must complete the Official Online Entry Form by submitting your complete name, address including zip code, telephone number and e-mail address. Before submitting the Official Online Entry Form, you will be asked to confirm that your story is original and a truthful account of your experience with HALO products. All entries, including stories and photos, become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected entries, entries that are processed late or incorrectly or those that are lost or damaged due to computer or electronic malfunction or other error.

Each story and any photo submitted must be an original work, cannot infringe on the property or rights of any third party and cannot have been submitted in a contest or have won any other contest. Sponsor has the right to disqualify any submissions that are inappropriate or unsuitable for general audiences.

Selected stories and their photos will be posted on www.halopets.com/ www.halopets.com and may be used in other promotional advertisements. If your story is selected for posting, you will be notified. Sponsor has the right to publish or modify (including, but not limited to, cropping, adding or removing of any element, reformatting or editing) the story entry and any photos.

5. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes entrants and prize recipients must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older. Void outside the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and where prohibited. Employees of Halo, Purely for Pets, Inc. and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion, fulfillment and/or judging agencies (“Related Entities”) and their immediate families are not eligible. Sweepstakes subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
6. WINNER SELECTION/JUDGING: All eligible submissions will be judged by a panel of judges drawn from employees of Sponsor. A total of eight (8) winners during the Sweepstakes Period will be selected. Two (2) winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received during each of the four separate judging periods by Sponsor, whose decisions on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes are final and binding in all respects pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Selection of the two (2) winners during the First Selection will be conducted on or about June 13, 2008. Selection of the two (2) winners during the Second Selection will be conducted on or about September 12, 2008. Selection of the two (2) winners during the Third Selection will be conducted on or about December 19, 2008. Selection of the two (2) winners during the Fourth Selection will be conducted on or about March 13, 2009. Eligible entries will be judged on “Best Story”. “Best Story” will be defined based on the sole opinions of Sponsor’s designated judges. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners in the First Selection will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on or by June 16, 2008. Winners in the Second Selection will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on or by September 15, 2008. Winners in the Third Selection will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on or by December 22, 2008. Winners in the Fourth Selection will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on or by March 16, 2009. Prize may be forfeited if the notification e-mail is returned as undeliverable and/or if winner(s) is unable to be contacted by telephone. In such a case, an alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries.

7. PRIZES: A total of eight (8) prizes will be awarded for a total retail value of $4,800. Each Prize consists of one year’s supply of HALO products, up to $50 per month and $600 for the year, which are available online at www.halopets.com and must be purchased via phone order at 800-426-4256. Sponsor is responsible for shipping and handling costs. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any listed prize for one of equal or lesser value if the designated prize should become unavailable.  All prizes are non-transferable, and no substitutions will be made. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel this Sweepstakes at any time during the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor is not responsible for winner limitations that prevent acceptance or use of any prize. All federal, state and local taxes where applicable are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and legally binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Sponsor may rescind the Sweepstakes, without liability, in the event of printing or production errors, or electronic failures of any kind. By participating, where permitted by law, entrants grant to Sponsor and the Related Entities associated with this Sweepstakes, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, discovered or devised, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times, their full name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, and biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes without further payment or consideration, and without review, approval, or notification. Submitted entries shall be deemed to be works-made-for-hire owned by Sponsor under the copyright laws of the United States, and submission of an entry by an entrant shall constitute and be deemed entrant’s irrevocable consent to transfer and assign all right, title and interest in and to any and all original creative works, including the story entry, or other materials submitted to Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to copyrights.

9. RELEASE: Winner(s) will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity for the specific prize before prize will be awarded. Winner(s) will be required to return documents within fourteen (14) days of prize notification. Failure to comply with this requirement, or return of prize notification as undeliverable, or if winner is found ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, will result in forfeiture of prize. By participating, entrants waive any and all claims against Sponsor and the Related Entities associated with this Sweepstakes, and release and agree to hold harmless Sponsor and the Related Entities associated with this Sweepstakes from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons and pets, including death, and property, cost or expenses, which may occur in connection with the Sweepstakes, or from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the prize. Further, entrants acknowledge that Sponsor and the Related Entities associated with this Sweepstakes have neither made nor are responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize.

10. INTERNET: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any suspect entry or entrant, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at www.halopets.com and winner(s) will be determined from among all eligible non-suspect and/or non-disqualified entries using the judging criteria mentioned above. In such event, Sponsor and the Related Entities associated with this Sweepstakes shall have no liability to any participant who is disqualified due to such an action. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

11. LIST OF WINNERS: To obtain a list of winners (available after March 20, 2009), e-mail your request to info@halopets.com by February 15, 2009, or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Your Halo Story Sweepstakes Winner, Halo, Purely for Pets, Inc., 12400 Race Track Road, Tampa, Florida 33626, by February 15, 2009. Do not send Sweepstakes entries to this address.
