Request for Customer DataHalo requires customers to fill out a registration form prior to allowing you to make purchases through the Halo Web site. We ask for information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. When you submit your registration form, this information travels via the Internet and is stored for future reference when you return to shop again.
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses etc. are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our Web based service.
Customer Data ProtectionWe protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Server Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts any information that you give to us. We do not sell information about you with third parties. However, Halo may reveal customer data to third parties including third party affiliates, our sales representatives and business partners that may require information to invoice for a product purchased through the Halo Web site. Additionally, we use an affiliate and/or an outside shipping company to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purpose.
We use customer data for these primary purposes:
- To help you quickly find products, services, or information
- To customize your shopping experience
- To improve our services to you, including communicating with you about your pets’ needs
- To help us create Web site content most relevant to you
- To alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information, and other new services from Halo
- To complete purchases
Halo will disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Halo on the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Halo, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Halo Web site or the public.
As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy stores or assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. In the unlikely event that Halo or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will be one of the transferred assets.
