What’s in Their Meal?
When you feed your cat or dog Halo, you know what’s in your pet’s bowl—a pet food that is Holistic. Whole. Humane. This philosophy drives our holistic approach to ingredient sourcing, recipes, nutritional value, the welfare of ALL animals, and our overall mission to change the way companion animals are fed and farm animals are raised...for the better.
Check your pet’s food
Look closely at what’s in your cat or dog’s bowl. The first ingredient may be whole meat, poultry, or fish, but are the second, third, or fourth ingredients a “meat meal”?
Check the label—not just the first ingredient, but the second, third, and fourth—to make sure.
Quality Ingredients Cost More
It’s true. Halo costs more than other pet foods. But there’s a good reason why. Most pet food manufacturers use rendered “meat meal,” like “chicken meal” or “fish meal,” in their kibble. “Meat meal”—the high-heat processed, dehydrated combination of remnants from slaughterhouses and fish processing factories cannot be used for human consumption and therefore is a lot less expensive than real WHOLE meat, poultry or fish.
Non-GMO Vegetables & Fruits
We believe that all ingredients matter. In addition to real WHOLE meat, poultry, and fish, our vegetables and fruits are sourced from farmland that prohibits the use of Genetically Modified Seeds. As part of our OrigiNative™ sourcing philosophy, we believe in the benefits of Non-GMO agriculture and also its value in protecting and restoring the soil that sustains all of our diets.
