Let’s take a closer look at each ingredient. Spoiler: There aren’t very many, because we like to keep things simple around here. That’s why 100% of the protein comes from real animal sources (with none of those icky fillers). Every treat is freeze-dried raw to safely preserve the natural nutrition and flavor of each ingredient.
Real turkey.
Naturally low in fat, turkey is an excellent source of lean protein. It’s high in essential amino acids, which dogs (and humans, for that matter) can’t produce on their own — they must come from food. Additionally, turkey is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for dogs with food allergies.
Real duck.
Dogs love duck. This lean protein is rich in iron and amino acids, and just like turkey, it’s perfect for pups who are allergic to chicken or beef. Duck is high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats (the good kind!) and low in saturated fat (the bad kind!). It also contains a variety of B vitamins, which help support everything from heart health to a thriving metabolism.
Real chicken heart.
Okay, so this might be the least appetizing ingredient in these treats — according to us humans. Dogs think otherwise 😜 With a rich flavor and chewy texture, chicken hearts are high in amino acids as well as zinc, iron, phosphorus, and vitamins A and B. They’re also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids for that soft, shiny coat and itch-free skin.
Snag your November treat of the month while you can, and happy Thanksgiving from your Halo family!
